M35 Heer Italy camo This unusual helmet has been painted with a extremely thick coat of mustard yellow paint.The paint has been mixed with ash and saw dust which provided a glare resistance finish. The helmet was then over-sprayed with grass green paint to provide some contrast. Strangely the helmet features a non-regulation Polish army chinstrap, these along with French, British and even a few American chinstraps were occasionally seen on German helmets
