Here is just what you need to complete that M18
cut-out in your collection
that is missing its
chinstrap. This is a perfect reproduction of
the
German M1927 chinstrap. These were made from 1927
until they were
phased out in 1935, however the M27
continued to be worn well into the war.
These
chinstrap were usally found on transitional helmet but
there are
plenty of photos of German soldiers wearing
these on their M35s and M40s. It
can be assumed that
supply drew these from existing stock to replace
worn
out chinstrap when supplys were depleted.
The last photo is of
the an original M27 chinstrap on
a M16 transitional helmet
The
chinstrap is hand made from high quality leather.
The carbine clip is a
perfect reproduction, the roller
buckle is original.
As far as I know
I am the only vender anywhere who is
offering the rare chinstrap, so get
yours while they
last, only $45
